Jurutera muda tunjuk bakat pada pertandingan robotik (Dari Utusan Malaysia)

KUCHING 20 Julai - Melentur buluh biarlah daripada rebungnya.

 

Itulah semangat yang dibuktikan oleh para peserta Pertandingan Robotik Kebangsaan (NRC) Peringkat Negeri Sarawak di Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Matang Jaya di sini semalam.

 

Meskipun dengan impian berbeza, namun penyertaan mereka menunjukkan usaha kerajaan untuk melahirkan lebih ramai generasi muda terlibat dalam bidang sains dan teknologi sudah mula menampakkan hasil.

 

Mereka merupakan generasi baru yang akan meneruskan kesinambungan pembangunan dan kemajuan yang sedang rancak berlangsung di negara ini.

NRC 2008 (Sarawak) Concludes

July 19th, 2008

After months pf training, the Sarawak Finals was finally held.  Teams from outside of Kuching proved that distance is not an obstacle when the conquered most of the awards in the State Finals held in SMK Matang Jaya.  The following are the top 3 positions obtained by each category.

OPEN CATEGORY(SAVE THE PLANET-ENVIRONMENT)
1ST-SMK BANDAR BINTULU, BINTULU
2ND-SMK SACRED HEART, SIBU
3RD-SMK CHUNG HUA, SIBU

ROBOT ENERGIZING (LOWER SECONDARY)
1ST-SMK ASAJAYA, SAMARAHAN
2ND-SMK METHODIST, SIBU
3RD-SMK ASAJAYA, SAMARAHAN

ROBOT PLANTING(UPPER SECONDARY)
1ST-SMK BINTULU
2ND-SMK KUBONG, LIMBANG
3RD-SMK SACRED HEART, SIBU

ROBOT RECYCLING(PRIMARY SCHOOL)
1St-SJK SEBIEN CHINESE, BINTULU
2ND-SJKC CHUNG HUA, SIBU
3RD-SJK SIONG BON

SMK Matang Jaya was not dissapointed as team D’X'TITANONS as the MECHA-TITAN project managed to grab 4th place in the Open Category, which also saw them carrying the title for the best decorated booth for this competition.  A surprise win also came when VELOCIRAPTOR, managed to get 10th place out of the 21 teams competing.

Zone L (Sarawak) NRC 2008 Finals To Be Held in SMK Matang Jaya

It has been confirmed that SMK Matang Jaya, home to MJROBOTICS will host the Sarawak National Robotics Competition 2008.  The letter/fax from the Sarawak Education Department arrived this morning comfirming SMK Matang Jaya’s Multi-purpose hall as the main venue for the NRC 2008.
