NRC
The National Robotics Competition (NRC) is organised jointly by the Ministry of Education and the National Science Centre, with Sasbadi as the co-organiser and the main sponsor. The champion of each category in the NRC National Final of the 2007 will represent Malaysia at the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) every year.
The number of participants for this completion is increasing, in which over 3000 students from the primary and secondary schools in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak competed on the basis of creativity and problem solving. There were also 13 zone competitions compared with The National Final being held at a special venue yearly. The competition itself is extremely competitive and challenging, making it an ideal event for the students to build the skills needed to face the growing challenges of globalization in the 21st century.
The most exiting category of the NRC is the open category. The year 2007 saw the theme “Science Fiction” being introduced. For the year 2008, the theme is said to be “Save the world”.
